Calorie Tape for iPhone
Food and symptom diary
Log your meals, symptoms, stools and notes in one diary. Each entry has its own time, so you can see what you ate before you felt unwell. Calorie Tape is a food log, not medical advice.
iPhone · iOS 27 or later · No account needed

How it works
On Today, tap How You Feel.
Tap + and choose Log Symptoms, Log Stool or Add Note.
Open a food and tap Add Note to write something you'll see each time you log it.
What it can't do
- Says which foods cause symptoms
- No
- Calorie Tape records how you felt, but it doesn't look for patterns or say which foods cause symptoms.
- Reminders
- None
- There are no reminders or check-ins, so you log a symptom when you choose to.
- Symptoms in Apple Health
- Not saved
- Symptoms and stools aren't saved to Apple Health.
- Notes on one entry
- No
- A note goes on a food or a day, not on a single entry.
Questions
Which symptoms can I log?
Calorie Tape lists 14 symptoms, including reflux, bloating, headache, itching or hives, and flushing. Add your own in Settings › How You Feel › Symptoms. Each symptom gets a level of None, Mild, Moderate or Severe.
Can I share my diary with my doctor?
Yes. In Export, turn on Include Notes and Include Symptoms and Stools, then share the days as text or a spreadsheet. Both switches start off.
Who can see my symptoms?
Only you, and anyone you share an export with. We can't. Your symptoms, stools and notes stay on your iPhone and sync only through your private iCloud. Today shows a one-line summary, never stool details or note text.
