Frequently asked questions

Where is my data?

Your food log stays private; we can't access it. Private iCloud sync for your log and settings is coming in the next beta update and will be included at launch. Deleting the App removes its local copy, not synced iCloud data. See the Privacy Policy.

A barcode didn't scan or wasn't found.

The catalog covers packaged foods from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts, so most products sold in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand are in it, but not all. Choose Create Food, then photograph the package: the App reads the Nutrition Facts label and fills in the values for you to check.

Why does a nutrient show "—" or "≥"?

"—" means the food doesn't report that nutrient, which isn't the same as zero. A total marked "≥" means some of the day's foods don't report it, so the real amount is at least that much.

Where does the nutrition data come from?

From USDA FoodData Central (its survey foods, FNDDS, and branded foods) and from Open Food Facts, a volunteer-built database of packaged products. Each food shows its source under its name. Foods you create use the values you enter or read from the label. See Food Data.

What do I need to run the App?

An iPhone with iOS 27 or later. Reading a package's name and brand from photos also needs Apple Intelligence; without it, you type them in.

How do I report a bug?

Use Send feedback in Settings, or email us with what happened, what you expected, and a screenshot if you can.
